Our 2016 art commission by multidisciplinary artist Adébayo Bolaji addressing human observation, race, the psychological and anthropological. >
Vanhu Vese was a brand new adaptation of the King James Bible performed in English, SiSwati, Shona and Kinyarwanda by an ensemble cast of three southern African actors. With live original music commissioned from Somerset duo Lekan Babalola and Kate Luxmoore, the production toured across venues in rural Somerset and Taunton before transferring to London venues The Africa Centre and Rich Mix in December 2011.

Great tunes. The simple setting made concentrating on the story easier.
Excellent play! Directing and pace was fitting with the environment, making me feel engrossed and really enjoyed the beautiful journey. The music wasn’t just complimentary, it was a show in itself. Really amazing!
Mix of African languages really brought the bible stories to life. I hope more people see this.
Fantastic show, a great evening. Actors great and the music was just wonderful. Loved it when the actors directed stuff straight to the audience and the sound effects.
Fantastic – wonderfully creative; what a shame so few are here – compel them to come!
Really enjoyed the show – great performance and wonderful music. Especially good when the story telling was shared directly with the audience. Thank you so much to Tangle!
Loved it. Thank you.
That was excellent - so happily told and full of life – so many tales.
